Our mission is to provide our customers with excellent products and services for industrial, biomedical and scientific imaging applications. 


nIlias Levis brings to Ikona more than 15 years of technical, marketing and sales experience in industrial, biomedical and bioscience imaging technology. Most recently, as a product manager for Sony's Visual Imaging Products, Mr. Levis managed Sony's industrial camera lines in US and served as a liaison for Sony's HQ in Japan. Mr. Levis has served in a variety of other imaging companies. As an imaging manager for Optical Analysis he developed imaging software and scientific camera business for Olympus microscopy products. While with Cognex, he managed camera, acquisition and display portions of Cognex Vision Library as well as created and managed Cognex's end of life process. While with Philips Components, he was responsible for transferring digital camera technology from Holland to a Philips RI facility and managed digital camera modules line as an engineering project manager. Mr. Levis holds a B.Sc. Degree in electrical engineering from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and M.Sc. in biomedical engineering from WPI, Worcester. 

Dr. Katariina Lahti has strong technical, scientific background and 15 years of experience in scientific, medical and industrial imaging. Her Ph.D. thesis provided the basis for much of the original fMRI imaging in awake animals that led into multiple US government grants and patents. She was a founding member of a neuronal imaging company INSL.  During her years at EPIX pharmaceutical, Dr. Lahti was instrumental in building preclinical imaging side and establishing collaborations with major US imaging facilities. While a fellow at Harvard Medical School Dr. Lahti was responsible in both clinical and preclinical imaging studies.  Dr. Lahti has published numerous scientific papers and has presented in multiple international conferences. Dr. Lahti holds a M.Sc. in applied physics (with minor in biomedical and electronic engineering) from Tampere Technical University, Finland and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from WPI, Worcester.
